Newsbox Terrarium

Another wonderful repurposed object story: peep this wild illuminated terrarium nestled within a recycled newspaper box. It's adorable and eye catching but I'm not sure I'd really put it in my house. Artist Carlo Sampietro from The Street Is In The House explains his mode of operation:

“Each cabinet tells a story that blurs the lines between reality and fiction and explores the interaction between the city and the uninhibited human soul. They contain a manipulation of space that implores you to confront the uncomfortable, contemplate the inexplicable, and re-examine the predictable.”

  1. Great repurposing and I love the green goodness of all the plants. I would actually try to make it look less like a newspaper box by altering the bottom a bit, perhaps with some textured wallpaper or fabric? If I had it in front of me you can bet I'd come up with something! Excellent idea/art piece, tho!
