Today I dip back into the archives to share some moss from my 2009 post on the Fern Grotto at Lotusland, Montecito. Lotusland is one of the most magical botanical gardens I have ever had the pleasure to visit and all the more so for the romantic back story of original owner Ganna Walska, the mediocre opera star with a penchant for exotic plants, metaphysics and wealthy husbands.
