Aliso Loop was exploding on all levels with flowers, insects and the rest of the miniature life that comprises the scrub oak.
Each bloom and branch seemed alive; each with it's own drama unfolding within it.
Birds chirped warnings of intruders, bees dutifully droned in the hot sun and butterflies hopscotched from sage to sage.

Where exactly is the Aliso Loop, I was having a hard time findind specifics via a google search.

ALISO LOOP:
ReplyDeleteTake San Marcos Pass (154) to Paradise Road. Go 4.5 Miles on Paradise Road and turn left at the Ranger Station/Sage Hill Campground. Follow the road, cross the river, keep to the right, it ends in a parking lot. The trailhead is conveniently marked with a sign and a map of the trail.
