Incubator Plants for Terrariums

Here are some plants I have been keeping under glass in hopes of planting in terrariums.  There is a small parlor palm cutting, some rhizomes of rabbits foot fern, some selaginella, and that odd dry looking thing I found on my hike.  I think there are some sword fern rhizomes in there too and some birdsnest or Suzy Foo fern.

I basically cut bits off all my ferns and mash them together in dirt.  Once something starts growing well I consider putting it in a terrarium.

  1. That's neat, hope it takes root. If you want to see my collection of terreriums, visit my wordpress blog. Outdoorsin.wordpress,com.

And the answer about the Crain's bill geraniums
they tend to grow in large clumps so you can pull some of it off to keep it from growing large. I don't think they are very invasive.

  3. Sounds like an interesting, fun and time consuming job. I'll bet they're beautiful.
